December: Christmas Festivities

At the Positive Parent Publications party 12 December. Sorry about the quality, but it was taken in a dimly lit room with my mobile phone camera! The evening brought together the first group of Positive Parenting Trustees (and their spouses) and the current Trustees just prior to the amalgamation of Positive Parenting with Care For the Family.

Christmas Cards

We both make Christmas cards - Liz makes them with coloured twine and beads - I use photographs I've taken, preferably of snow of ice.

Above is the photograph I used this year - it was actually taken in February 2007 along the Causeway, Petersfield. I was driving to work but just had to stop to take some photographs of the snow on the trees.

The card contains the following verse which I found on the Internet:

More than Christmas wreaths
Hanging on our doors
Is Jesus Christ's wondrous birth
The blessing of our Lord
The sounds of Christmas songs
We all love to sing
Echoes Jesus, Son of God
Born the king of kings

PACT Carol Service in The Square 17 December - it's easy to spot Liz by her red scarf!

After the Carol Service: John and Liz's Church Life Group, 17 December
Sue, Tricia, Carol, Dave H, John S, Caroline and John I
Liz, Bobs and Phil
Absent: John I (working), Susanne (in Germany), Gill, (not well), Dave P (arrived later) and Steve (not well)

18 December: We woke up to find SNOW - quite rare this far south. For those who don't know,
my car is at the left of the photographs, Liz's to the right.

20 December: A clever photograph of the family just before lunch at the George and Dragon Fordwich, Kent the day after the wedding of Kirsty and Richard. Kirsty is Lesley's daughter.
Lesley, John, Liz, Ed, Chris, Phil, Bobs, Graham
A clever photograph because Liz is taking the photograph of our reflection in a large mirror!

Boxing Day: Liz conducts the whistle choir in a collection of carols, some of which we recognised!
The whistles were found inside our Christmas crackers.

Boxing Day Walk Waggoner's Wells Rose and Pete (Emma's parents) Emma and Ross, John and Liz. Tim took this photograph, so, not to leave him out, we show him and the group below:

30 December: KS - Kindred Spirits. John B, Graham and John S were great friends at Portsmouth College of Education in the early 1970's and now meet up each year around Christmas time. Here we are again at the Harvester - not quite sure why John B has his hands over his ears!
