April: John's Op, Church visit to the Isle of Wight and Downs House

John had several small patches of non-malignant skin removed, some by surgery, others by using liquid nitrogen!

The church spent a weekend on the Isle of Wight and on Saturday we walked along the Coastal Path - encountering a newly wed couple enjoying ice creams on the beach!

We visited Downs House which is a privately owned house but which joins in a with a national scheme each year which involves people opening their garden to the public. A small charge is made and the money raised goes to charity. Down House has a wonderful garden, full of daffodils early in the spring, and wonderful views.

Pub lunches are always a treat and the day that we went to The Royal Oak was wonderfully warm.

John had a minor operation to remove some benign
skin cancer - it looks worse that it was but
for a few days he had some sympathy!
Liz and Chris paddling at Steephill Cove, Isle of Wight - both in typical poses. See the pottery Chris makes and sells on the Watershed Galleries web site.

Further along on our walk we stopped to buy some ice creams - as did a couple enroute from their wedding to the reception! Picnic on the beach: Dominic, Richard, Liz, John, Lis and Caroline

We visited the gardens at Down House, near South Harting, taking Phil and Bobs with us. The daffodils were wonderful! As usual Liz took many photographs of the flowers!
