A busy month: we walked among bluebells and through oil-seed rape fields and by rivers.

We visited Joyce and, on Mondays, took Wren and Alice out and about.

We attended our second Antiques Roadshow and spent time with Nev and Judy and with Dorothy.

John tries to go for a long walk once a week and this footpath was covered in bluebells

Not far from the footpath above there is a wood which, in early May, is full of bluebells

This quiet river, passing through a wood, is less than half a mile from our house

We continue to visit Joyce in East Ham   Spotted on one of our walks

A bright splash of colour: Liz walks though a field of oil-seed rape

John stays with the bluebells

A closer look at oil-seed rape - widely used as a cooking oil   I'm not lost - I've got a map!

Alice on the play ground at Buriton - a favourite place   A ready made tree-seat for Wren at Buriton

Liz joins in   We wave to the trains on the London to Portsmouth line

Our second Antiques Roadshow - this one at Audley End Mansion, near John's home town of Saffron Walden   We tried hard not be be caught on the TV cameras, but EssexLive managed to catch us!

Nev and Judy at the Antiques Roadshow   Fiona Bruce, presenter of the Antiques Roadshow has make up applied and her hair brushed - she then ran her fingers through her hair!
