• Walks around the Pond dominate our time this month
  • The Heath and Pond show the beauty of winter and encourage us to look forward to Spring!
  • Bobs joins us for Sunday lunch - and then falls asleep!
  • Mist and snow add extra attraction to the heath
  • We spot, and photograph, some amazing ice formations around the Pond.

Give us kiss then!   Autumn and Winter are John's favourite seasons!

Robins are still around!   Flowers are suggesting that spring is on its way

Only the swans were big enough, and heavier enough to make way through the ice - other birds followed them!   Blacks swans arrived for a while. Later in the year we saw that they were aggressive towards our swans and cygnets

The bees are already busy!   A strange, semi-albino Canada Goose

More harbingers of Spring!

Rats are still around!   A mallard in a tree!

Robins are solitary birds, but February is the start of the mating season and we managed to photograph two together
