June: Dorothy's 70th, Walks, Visitors, Childrens' Charities and The Life of Christ at Wintershall.

John's sister Dorothy was 70 on the 7 June (and his other sister, June, was 71 on the same day). John drove up to Fulbourn, near Cambridge to celebrate the day with her. Liz was not able to join them as Phil was in hospital at the time.

We try to go on a long walk on John's day off and we had one particularly good walk on a very hot day in June.

Fiona is based in South Africa but is still a member of our church and it was good to see here this month. And the squirrels were still visiting!

One of the trustees of IMC (In Ministry to Children) which helps children in Colombia owns an organic dairy farms and we had a lovely day visiting the farm, seeing sheep being sheared, cows milked and eating magnificent beef burgers.

Two of the Disciples fishing on the lake at Wintershall. They are part of The Life of Christ - an open air play that tells the Gospel Story across the Estate, using some 200 actors. When it came to the feeding of the 5,000 the audience were fed too!

Between us we took a thousand photographs and John used many of them to create a web site from which anyone can download photographs of Biblical scenes for use in schools or churches - see www.wintershall-photographs.org.uk
