September (1): Family Meals, Outing with Freya, The Antiques Road Show and a Harvest Festival

September was a busy month: we continued to take Freya out on Mondays and we spent a fascinating day watching the filming of The Antiques Road Show at the Open Air Museum at Singleton.

Having encouraged our friend John to become a gardener were shared our third Harvest Festival Supper with his family and the Todds, eating vegetables that we had grown in our own gardens.

We visited the filming of The Antiques Road Show when it visited the Open Air Museum at Singleton. It was wonderful to see the experts in "the flesh" and fascinating to see how the programme was filmed.

It will probably be broadcast in early 2012, so make a point of watching it! We hope that you won't see us - we kept well behind the cameras - but you might see some of the items that feature in these photographs.

The photograph at the right was of a chapel in North America in the 19th century and bore the inscription: In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength - Isaiah chapter 30, verse 15.

On the right you see more or less what you'll see on the television programme - below we show that there was a lot more going on!
