This month marked John and Gerry's Ruby Wedding Anniversary which they celebrated in a local golf club restaurant. John was John's best man in 1975 and John was John's best man in 2001! Liz made their cake - and decorated it wonderfully well. John was a member of the Life Church quiz team - hence the name "The Lifers". The team won the Lion's Club Quiz in the Festival Hall. Finally... Alice enjoys her food! |

| We had noticed that there was damp on the dining room wall at Joyce's house and the garden has long been overgrown so were organised a builder, plumber and a skip to sort the problems. We stayed in a local hotel for three night while we supervised the work - we hoped to have a quiet evening at the hotel reading but fell into bed at 9:00 pm each night! |

| John was in the church quiz team called The Lifers since the church is Life Church Petersfield. The team entered the Lions Club annual quiz and WON, beating 27 other teams! | ||
