John spotted a heart-warming note on a local post box and we joined thousands of local people at the Remembrance Day Service on the 100th anniversary of the end of the first world war.

John is still donating blood - a mile-stone reached this month. Apparently only 4% of the UK population donate blood - if you are able to do so why not sign up at www.blood.co.uk

Our friend's Roger and Sandra have retired - Sandra worked in the church office in town and we had a surprise party for them, though they had suspected something was happening!

We had one of our occasional "Art Worship" days ar church on Sunday.

We made our annual trip to IKEA in Southampton - thanks to caroline who always takes us there!

Mr and Mrs B - Ian and Anne Broxton stayed the night on their way from Spain to Hertfordshire. They were originally booked on a ferry from Spain to the UK but the ferry was cancelled because of bad weather and they had to drive the entire length of Spain, then France (about 800 miles) to catch a ferry from Caen to Portsmouth.

Mr B picked up his coat that he had left at our house when the visited in January - and still hasn't paid the cloakroom fee!

John spotted this on a post box in Petersfield - in case you can't read it the text is:

Dear Postie: There is an important white, handwritten letter in here with no stamp. Can you please put this stamp on for my wife? Massive thanks

The War Memorial in Petersfield High Street.
Note the silhouettes of soldiers - these were also
displayed in shops in town

John made his 75th blood donation in November - next target: 100   We took our annual visit with Caroline to IKEA in Southampton.
Mr and Mrs B stayed with us for one night on their way home from Spain:
John, Liz, Ian and Anne

Liz did her bit for the Remembrance Day Service in Petersfield - but note that she's not wearing a HiVis jacket as she was just keeping Penny company!   Several people from Life Church helped as Chaplaincy marshals at the Remembrance Day Service - above John, Simon and Shirley
Our friends Roger and Sandra are retiring and plan to move from Petersfield and we had a party for them.   John is selling his Jams, Jellies and Marmalades both at church and Winton House in Petersfield
